How Much Down Do You REALLY Need To Buy A Home?
In this video, I talk about how much money down you really need to buy a home. I'll go over several different financing options such as conventional financing, FHA financing, and down payment assistance programs and some of the pros and cons of each. I'll also discuss mortgage insurance and why it's not so bad after all.
Loan limits do exist for both conventional and FHA financing options, but they have consistently gone up year after year and allow most buyers many options for types of properties they can buy before having to qualify for jumbo and other loan types that typically require larger down payments.
