I could not have had a better experience working with Mike! He knows so much about the markets in the area and gave me EXCELLENT recommendations on when and where to buy. I have never met someone more responsive or on top of all the paperwork involved in purchasing a home. He is very good at negotiating a price and acts as a great liaison between lender, escrow, and seller. I am a very detailed-oriented person, and Mike’s level of scrutiny surpassed even my expectations. My husband hired Mike Weber to sell a condominium rental property. After a number of health challenges, he wanted to simplify his life by letting go of this property. We were cautious about hiring an agent after a previous, somewhat negative experience selling a different property. But we both felt really good about Mike from the very beginning. He had the energy, temperament and know-how that seemed just right. During the course of the sale, Mike got hit with many obstacles. Looking back, I'm amazed he didn't quit. It was discovered that the person who was supposed to be managing the property had not been managing it. To our embarrassment and frustration, this person treated Mike rudely even after being let go in any property management capacity. There were serious issues in the condo that needed immediate attention. Mike helped us through all of that (mold mitigation / environmental testing, non-compliant fixtures, absent alarms, and even an emergency gas leak) -- he was always there knowing exactly what to do and responding immediately. We were in a different state which made things significantly more complicated. And the tenants were, for a time, uncooperative. Then the unexpected worst happened -- my husband of 30 years passed away suddenly. I was in shock. Mike was sensitive to what such loss and grief meant for my functioning as well as understanding of what the death meant for the deal. He held the sale together with the buyers throughout the probate process. When it seemed the sale would be wrapped up without further delay, the other beneficiary of the condo sale at the last moment refused to sign off at the probate hearing causing further delays. No matter what was thrown at Mike, he stayed calm and dealt with it, staying in communication with myself, the lawyers and the buyers, keeping everything going right up until the sale was finalized. I am convinced we did not lose the buyers because of Mike's excellent communication skills. Mike is one of those rare people who are perfect for the job they are doing, and I am so thankful I had his help with this difficult sale at this difficult time. He earned every penny of his commission, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
